1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Joey Borden (“I”, “me”, or “my”) collects through JoeyBorden.com (the “Site”), why it is collected, and what choices you have. I keep data collection to the minimum needed to answer enquiries and deliver projects.

2. Information I collect

Information you give me

When you fill in the contact form on this Site, I collect the name, email address, phone number (if you choose to provide one), and the message you write. If you go on to hire me, I will also hold the information needed to run the project and invoice you, such as billing details and any materials you send.

Information collected automatically

My web host records standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. The contact form also records the submitting IP address to help identify spam.

Third-party services

This Site loads fonts from Google Fonts and embeds video from Vimeo. When those resources load, the providers may receive your IP address and set their own cookies. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies.

3. How I use your information

To keep records required for tax and accounting purposes
To detect and prevent spam and abuse of the contact form

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. I do not send marketing email to people who have only used the contact form.

4. Sharing your information

I share personal information only where necessary: with service providers who help me run the business (web hosting, email, payment processing, accounting), and where required by law or to protect legal rights. Service providers may access information only to perform their work for me.

5. Data retention

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. Project and financial records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting rules. You can ask me to delete your enquiry at any time.

6. Security

I take reasonable steps to protect the information I hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information such as payment card numbers through the contact form.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to certain processing. Residents of California, and of jurisdictions covered by the GDPR, may have additional rights. 8. Children's privacy

This Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact me and I will delete it.
